Introducing Neeharika Chenna, the cohost of Saurya Media’s Pulse Points. As an aspiring licensed marriage and family counselor, Neeha is constantly learning about mental health disorders, treatments, and research. Utilizing her B.S. in Psychology, she brings her curiosity, and mental health exposure and understanding to her position as Residential Counselor at a Residential Treatment Center in California. While administering safety checks, building rapport with residents, and facilitating group support sessions, she is further exposed to the impacts of suicidality and substance use and the associated treatments. Drawing from her background in Psychometry and from her experience administering various neurological assessments, she offers insights into the intersection of macro level health systems and individual wellness.
